    Corey Phair

    "I'm Corey, and I'm a certified personal trainer, health coach and owner of Rize Up Strength & Conditioning. My goal is to empower individuals to take charge of their lives by introducing them to the important connection between physical health and mental wellbeing. 

    I started working out in Owen Sound in 1998 at Temple Gym. I immediately fell in love with it. I got into personal training and nutrition coaching in 2004 and found my passion and purpose; helping others. In 2013 I injured my back while serving in the military. That injury lead to chronic pain, depression, anxiety and an addiction to opiate pain medication after major back surgery in 2016. I have also struggled with body image and binge eating. My mental health and addiction made life very miserable for several years! In 2018, I looked myself in the mirror and admitted that I was the cause of all my problems. That's when I took full accountability and everything changed!

    I have zero regrets. My adversity made me the man I am today. I'm constantly drawing on my life  experience to connect and serve others.

    I take a very holistic approach to what I do. There are many pieces to the wellness puzzle. Its not just coming to the gym to work out a few times a week. In my opinion, nutrition is the foundation to build off of and by far the biggest piece of the puzzle! This area must be maximized for optimal results. Nutrition coaching is a big part of we I do here at Rize Up. Other aspects that need to be addressed are habits, motivation, lifestyle, mental health, accountability, stress, sleep , triggers, goals, core beliefs, experience, routine and your relationship to food.

    It doesn't matter if you want to lose weight, build muscle, increase your range of motion, become healthier, be more functional or look good naked. What does matter, is you taking full accountability and putting in your best effort. We will support you every step of the way."
